A house we loved, a dream so sweet,
A modern home on suburban street.
I'd sweep the porch and wave hello,
Leash my dog and off we’d go.
It wasn’t really mine to hold,
Yet it snared part of my soul.
It came to me in times of need.
I planted roots & sowed my seed.
Now my mind, it's not so clear,
The comfort of that house so dear.
A memory will surely fade,
Of a home for which my heart was made.
